WORK SHIFT COUNTDOWN
Count down your shift—and the time until the next one
Set your rotation, normal start time and shift length once. The live timers show how much time remains in an active shift and when your next scheduled shift begins.
Build my schedule freeTwo countdowns for two useful answers
The current-shift timer answers, ‘How much longer am I working?’ The next-shift timer answers, ‘How much time do I have before I go back?’ Both follow the same repeating rotation as your calendar.
When you are off, the current-shift card says so while the next-shift countdown continues toward your next scheduled start.
How to set up the timer
First select the correct rotation and a confirmed first workday. Then enter the time your shift normally begins and choose its length—8, 10, 12, 16, 24 or 48 hours.
The settings save automatically in the browser, so a returning visitor does not need to rebuild the timer each time.
Important timing details
The countdown uses the clock and time zone on your device. Make sure automatic date and time are enabled for the most accurate result.
Workplace changes, overtime, holidays and shift trades are not automatically known by the timer. Confirm exceptions with your employer.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Does the countdown keep working after I close the page?
The target shift time is recalculated from your saved schedule when you return. The page does not need to stay open.
Can it handle an overnight shift?
Yes. The calculator checks shifts that began today or yesterday, so a shift crossing midnight can remain active.
Why is my countdown wrong?
Check the rotation start date, shift start time, shift length and your device’s automatic date and time settings.
